In an email received from Bro Fred Marty of Silver Gate Three Stars Lodge No 296, San Diego, California (Grand Lodge of California); he announced a get-together celebration in honor of Ill Sir WBro Ben Billena "for becoming the first Filipino Potentate of Al Bahr Shrine in San Diego and to celebrate his birthday as well."
The celebrations was spearheaded by the members of Silver Gate Three Stars Lodge No 296, which was held at Bro Jim Padilla's residence last Sunday noon, 25 May.
Our birthday wishes to Ill Sir Ben Billena and our heartfelt congratulations for a much deserved honor.
The Al Bahr Shrine, located in San Diego, California, according to their website has the mission "... to combine friendship, family and fraternity with social activities and to provide support, both monetarily and by volunteer service to the "Worlds Greatest Philanthropy", the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children."

Joint Medical & Dental Mission: 11 May Dasmarinas, Cavite
Brethren,
I am pleased to inform you that the joint Medical and Dental Mission; held on May 11, 2008 in Dasmarinas, Cavite was a major success.

The brethren and organizers taking a much needed respite and photo-op for posterity.The project was in partnership with Dasmarinas Lodge No. 346; led by their Worshipful Master WB PSSupt Benjardi Mantele, Bagong Buhay Lodge No. 17; led by yours truly, Cavite Shrine Chapter, headed by their High Sheriff, Noble PSupt Mario Marasigan, Pinagbuklod Lion's Club, and Caloocan Charity Clinic.
Picture shows part of the big crowd benefitted by this joint dental and medical mission.There were more or less one thousand indigent members of the community who benefitted from the outreach.

WBro Ernest V Arellano, PM - Drops Working Tools: 15 May 2008
Worshipful Sirs and Brethren,
WB Ernest V Arellano, Past Master of Silver Gate Three Stars #296, San Diego had dropped his working tools last Thursday (15 May 2008).
He was the Master of the Lodge in 1992. A very active member, always in the Lodge during degree conferrals, fund raising events, picnics, community/masonic events and support all the Lodge's programs. His last visit in the Lodge was during our Past Master Night where he was the Junior Warden. The Lodge and the Brethren will surely missed him.
Brethren, let's give a "Moment of Silence" to our departed Brother. May he Rest In Peace!!!

Pinatubo to Host Golf Tournament for a Cause: 8 June

Pinatubo Lodge No 52, Olongapo City, will be hosting a golf tournament on June 8, 2008 (Sunday) at San Miguel Navy Golf Course, San Antonio, Zambales from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
Tournament Fee PHP 1,700.00, inclusive of green fee, caddy's fee, breakfast, banquet meals, and specially raflle tickets.
Everybody is invited to join.
