"Governor Rafael Nantes was born on January 4, 1957 in Polillo, Quezon. He finished his elementary and secondary schoolyears at Camp Crame Elementary School and Sibulan Barangay High School, respectively. He took up a vocational course Machinist and Diesel Mechanic at V. Mapa High School before pursuing the BS Mechanical Engineering course he finished at the National University. He also earned a degree of Masters in Business Administration at the Philippine Christian University in 1983.
Career History:
Before he became the Governor of Quezon, he was a manager at Alpha Technical Services. He is applying his knowledge in business and engineering to the two businesses he put up and is now handling: People’s International Enterprises Company and Neutron Battery Company. In 1998 he was elected Representative of the First District of Quezon. in May 2007 Elections, he was elected governor of Quezon.
He is married to Betty Buenaobra who is the President of People’s International Enterprises Co."
