BBL No 17 102nd Constitution Celebration: 14 Aug
Brethren,
Today [11 Aug], we, the members of Bagong Buhay Lodge No. 17 F. & A.M, under the grand jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines; is commemorating our 102nd Constitution Day and we rejoice on the founding of our Lodge more than a century ago.
In behalf of our Worshipful Master, WBro Antonio C. Paulite II, we cordially invite the brethren to celebrate with us this august event on August 14, 2009 at Primera Luz Filipina Lodge No. 69 F. & A.M Temple Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite.
There will be activities in the morning such as a motorcade, outreach program, and blood letting. In the afternoon, there will be a raising to the sublime degree of Master Mason and Stated Meeting.
The program proper starts at 8:00 P.M. Please wear Masonic attire. This is a double celebration for us as we are also celebrating the distinction of being adjudged "Most Outstanding Blue Lodge" in the whole Masonic District Region IV-A Cavite for MY 2008.

You heard me right brethren, a video documentary from 1907- 2009 will be shown nandito po lahat ang pakikibaka ng magigiting nating kapatid sa Bagong Buhay 17!

BBL#17 Outreach Program at Tahanan ni Maria
Brethren of Bagong buhay Lodge #17 and All Regular Masons:
I would like to share with you a recent outreach program of Bagong Buhay Lodge #17 headed by WBro. Tony Paulite Jr., Worshipful Master; last Saturday, 30th of May 2009 at Tahanan ni Maria located in Barangay Lantic, Carmona, Cavite. Please see attached pictures captured during the occasion.
The unforgettable moment with the less fortunate and aged residents of Tahanan ni Maria; Brethren, sila ang mga kawangis ng ating Butihing Ina... nasa Tahanan ni Maria!!! They need our aid and assistance.
"Ang Tahanan ni Maria is an aged home and is a nonstock, non profit charitable organization whose vision and mission is to be of service to the elderly, and is committed to provide the basic needs for food, clothing, shelter and health care.
The Foundation was registered on August 30, 1996 by the late Fr. Norberto "Bitoy" Macalintal, SVD. For thirteen years, the home has been ministering to the poor and abandoned elderly accepting referrals from private individuals in cooperation with NGO's and Government Agencies like the DSWD in the different Provinces of Region IV.
The institution now has 60 elderly men and women under their love, care and guidance."
During the coordination with the officials of Tahanan ni Maria one afternoon with my batchmate in Freemasonry, VW Bro Nathaniel "Natz" Golla Sr.; we visited the Bahay Ni Maria for the first time to know what could we do to help the occupants of the aged care facility.
We were hesitant at first to mention our Masonic affiliations knowing that this institution is being managed and run by Catholic priests We didn't like to be rejected if they found out later that we belong to our ancient brotherhood of Freemasonry. We nevertheless proceeded to the site and we were both surprised that the major supporters of the institution are mostly Masons and the caretaker; by the name of Ms Dory Bantatua [Secretary and OJT coordinator] was very happy knowing that we are Masons.
On May 28, 2009, we needed to confirm our visit but no response from the caretaker, this prompted me to try and visit their internet site and googled Tahanan ni Maria to get another contact person; Fr. Efren De Guzman. I texted him and explained our purpose and just a matter of minutes my cellphone rang and Fr. Efren is on the other side. He asked my details and what group I belong to; this time I was confident to answer straight away that I am a Mason and my Lodge is Bagong Buhay Lodge #17. Fr. Efren De Guzman related to me the same story that indeed Masons are major supporters of Tahanan ni Maria.
Customary to the tradition of Tahanan ni Maria, and in collaboration with all residents; they prepared a short program to thank us for our visit. Though not physically fit and able they tried their very best to sing and dance to show their gratitude for our visit... as if saying "BUMALIK NAMAN KAYO".
I would like to appeal to all brethren withersoever dispersed to take a look at the attached pictures and you will see how miserable their situation is. They are truly in need of our aid and assistance. To those who are blessed with so much, to those who have extra resources... and to those who love their NANAY... Share some of your blessings for the benefit of Tahanan ni Maria and its residents.

Drug Awareness & Feeding Programs
Brethren:
I would like to share with you pictures during the 2nd Feeding and Drug Awareness Program of Bagong Buhay Lodge No. 17 at Ladislao Diwa Elementary School, Cavite City last March 13, 2009; headed by the Worshipful Master, Bro Antonio Paulite II,in collaboration with Ladislao Diwa Elementary School officials. The beneficiaries of the program includes 250 malnourished school children for the Feeding Program and 500Grade 5 students for the Drug Awareness Program.
The first Feeding Program was conducted last February 13, 2009 at the same school, the beneficiaries of the mentioned program includes 250 malnourished students of the school and 500 Grade 6 pupils for the Drug Awareness Program which was lectured by our very own Brother Ed Hernandez

Block Screening: The Dark Knight - 17 July

"Greetings of fraternal love and peace!
BAGONG BUHAY LODGE NO. 17 F. & A.M. under the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines will sponsor the BLOCKED SCREENING of the film: The Dark Knight. It is an action-adventure movie with lead stars Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as Joker. The movie screening will be held on July 17, 2008 (Thursday), Cinema 1, 7:45 P.M. at ALABANG TOWN CENTER MALL, Brgy. Ayala Alabang Muntinlupa City. Proceeds of this fundraising initiative is primarily for the benefit of “The WB Ladislao Diwa Scholarship Program for the Orphans”.
In this line, we are humbly knocking on your hearts for support and patronage. Ticket is at P500.00 each. Let us help send orphans of our fallen brethren go to school. Joint Medical & Dental Mission: 11 May Dasmarinas, Cavite
Brethren,
I am pleased to inform you that the joint Medical and Dental Mission; held on May 11, 2008 in Dasmarinas, Cavite was a major success.
I am pleased to inform you that the joint Medical and Dental Mission; held on May 11, 2008 in Dasmarinas, Cavite was a major success.
The brethren and organizers taking a much needed respite and photo-op for posterity.The project was in partnership with Dasmarinas Lodge No. 346; led by their Worshipful Master WB PSSupt Benjardi Mantele, Bagong Buhay Lodge No. 17; led by yours truly, Cavite Shrine Chapter, headed by their High Sheriff, Noble PSupt Mario Marasigan, Pinagbuklod Lion's Club, and Caloocan Charity Clinic.
Picture shows part of the big crowd benefitted by this joint dental and medical mission.There were more or less one thousand indigent members of the community who benefitted from the outreach.
